Chiwako's Day Off is the fifteen chapter of the Under Doctor manga series, written and illustrated by Kyo Tanimoto. It was released on May 10, 2026.
Plot
Chapter 15 begins with Chiwako sleeping in her bed and it is revealed that it is Chiwako's day off. Chiwako tells Haiji that for the next two days, she will be doing a follow-up surgery in Russia, and work on all of the paperwork she has piled up on her home. Chiwako finishes 2 days worth of work in only 1 day, so she earned a day off for the first time in 3 months and won't let anybody ruin it. Chiwako firstly goes to a shopping mall, then goes to a resturant, after that, she goes to the movies, and finally, goes shopping. After all that, Chiwako thinks that maybe she bought too much, but says that she lost her last day off due to the hijacking, and she feels like she can splurge every once in a while. Chiwako says that there's another movie she wants to see at 4:30, but in the meantime she goes to a Karaoke. Chiwako says that until recently, she never thought she could enjoy herself like this, and she remembers her past with her family. Chiwako says that she went to a normal school but only so because to observe other people. Chiwako was forbidden from forming any relationships as well as the freedom of choosing what to eat and having fun. Chiwako says that she was cut off from normal life in every way, but when she started working full time for the doctor four years ago, bit by bit she started being able to do whatever she wanted to do. Chiwako says she was lucky, and she works hard every day, but she says that she really respects Haiji. After the karaoke, a kid walks up to her and thinks that Chiwako is his mom. Chiwako says that he is confused, and that he's lost. Chiwako decides to help the kid find his mom, and when she does, the kid gifts Chiwako a pikotan. Chiwako then spots a suspicious man, she follows him, and stops him from bombing the whole shopping mall. Chapter 15 concludes with Chiwako going back to work and working hard for Haiji.
