Haiji and Shuli's Exciting Snowy Mountain Adventure (ハイジとシュリ、ドキドキの雪山, Haiji to Shuri, dokidoki no yukiyama) is the twenty fourth chapter of the Under Doctor manga series, written and illustrated by Kyo Tanimoto. It was released on July 12, 2026.
Plot
The chapter begins with Haiji and Shuli traveling to a remote mountain lodge to treat a journalist who became seriously ill while hiding from the criminal organization he had been investigating. Haiji completes the operation without trouble, but heavy snowfall forces them to remain at the lodge overnight. While they wait, Shuli checks Haiji’s recent studying, and the two briefly test whether she has kept up her fighting skills. Their stay is interrupted by the Hawkins 6, a group of assassins sent to eliminate the journalist. Haiji refuses to let them touch his patient and quickly overpowers the group. However, one of the siblings, Marian, panics and opens fire on the lodge. Haiji shields the journalist from the gunfire and is struck by two bullets. With the mountain roads blocked and an ambulance unable to reach them, Haiji decides to operate on himself. Using a mirror and local anesthetic, he successfully removes the first bullet, but the second is lodged somewhere he cannot reach on his own. The chapter ends with Haiji telling Shuli that he will have to remove it while following his instructions.
