Summary
Chapter 4 continues where Chapter 3 ends with the the intense battle between Haiji and Laiyi. Although Laiyi utilizes a high level martial arts technique called Breathless Rushing to mask his presence and unleash rapid claw attacks , Haiji remains unfazed and focused, revealing that his medical vision allows him to see his opponent's muscle movements and vital points. Haiji breaks Laiyi’s offense with ease, and delivers a precise strike to a specific nerve point that causes extreme numbness and spasms, which instantly paralyzes the assassin and making him unable to stand. However, just as Haiji moves to rescue Kong’s daughter, Yoqi, the situation takes a huge unexpected turn. Haiji's own manager, Chiwako Oshimori, betrays him. She captures Yoqi and holds a knife to her, apologizing to the doctor as she does so. The chapter ends with Kong Lian Ya laughing, and saying that Haiji is now his puppet because he cannot act while Chiwa holds the girl hostage.
