Summary
Chapter starts out with Haiji revealing he already spent the entire 100 million yen he earned from the previous job. He currently has only 80 yen left in his bank account. Haiji says that spent the money on expensive analysis machines to research Orphan Diseases, he explains that since major pharmaceutical companies ignore these diseases due to a lack of profit, he must fund the research himself to save a specific friend who is suffering from one. To gather funds, Chiwa accepts a job offer from the Black Coin, a criminal organization based in Shanghai, China. The reward is 500 million yuan (1 billion yen). Haiji and Chiwa travel to Shanghai to meet the boss, Kong Lian-Ya. Initially, Haiji assumes the patient is Kong’s young daughter, Yoqi. When Haiji asks for the donor organ, Kong points to his own daughter, Yoqi. He requests that Haiji kills his daughter and transplant her heart into him. Kong explains that he has Bombay Blood, an extremely rare blood type. He fathered Yoqi with a prostitute specifically to create a genetic match with this rare blood type. Despite being an underground doctor, Haiji refuses the job and demands a proper organ donor. Kong then sends his subordinate, Laiyi, to attack Haiji to force him to do the surgery. Haiji and Laiyi start fighting.
